Lamp Diode Driver 500

| DESCRIPTION
PFC Power Factor Correctors
The PFC power factor corrector modules are
designed to be used as a supply for DC/DC
converters with 500W or 1000W of output
power from a 100V AC input. The PFC is an
active filter, suppressing spikes on the
input current and behaves like a pure ohmic
load on mains. The wide input range (100-240V
AC) allows international installation without
further adjustments and the modules output
is 360V DC. The device is designed following
EN 61000-3-2. Both PFCs endure a test voltage
of 3kV between mains input and ground for
at least one minute. The insulation resistance
exceeds 100 mOhm and the input filters are
designed to fulfill the requirements of
IEC 601.
DESCRIPTION
HCS High Current Sources
The HCS series is a family of DC/DC converters
ranging from 200W into the kW power range
comprising unique protection features and
are specifically designed to drive valuable
laser diodes. The diode drivers are designed
as a closed loop controlled current source
for stacked high power laser diodes. The
internal controller is made to meet the
characteristics of non-linear loads. As
a feed back signal either output current
or an external signal as e.g. laser diode
output power may be used. The unique design
of the power supplies features closed loop
power modulation with frequencies in the
kHz range. Control electronics are insulated
from power circuits - enabling the stacking
of several HCS modules. These power supplies
comprise safety relevant features as monitoring
of input current and voltage, board temperature
including safety shut down. The devices
offer minimized electro-magnetic radiation
(EMI) and because of a high overall efficiency
due to full-bridge topology with zero voltage
switching (ZVS), convectional cooling is
sufficient to take the dissipated heat out
of the heat sink.

HiTek Power has recognized that in today’s manufacturing world that
many system assemblers are moving towards high level integration of
their products. In response we have developed the capability to integrate
the capacitor charger, capacitors, simmer and trigger components into a
custom OEM package to suit the exact requirements of our customers.
Using IGBT technology, we are able to provide accurate and repeatable
pulses to the flashlamps with the ability to vary the pulse energy.
